PreviousThe Weihs Group travelled to the Fall 2017 meeting of the Materials Research Society. Prof. Weihs, Peng Yi, Shashank Vummidi Lakshman, Elliot Wainwright, Shane Arlington, Ju Xue, and Michael Tershakovec all gave talks. Prof. Weihs also hosted a reuinion party for previous group members!
NextElliot Wainwright was recognized by JHU for winning a Best Student Presentation award in the Advances and Upcoming Research Strategies in Reactive Materials symposium at the Fall MRS conference. Congratulations, Elliot!

Beatriz Medeiros was featured in JHU Engineering magazine for her work with Suhas Prameela in processing Mg alloys for lightweight body armor. Congratulations, Beatriz!

Suhas Prameela represented the MEDE project at Mg 2018 conference, UK and gave a talk on ECAE processing of Mg binary alloys. He also gave an invited talk at University of Manchester on Dynamic Precipitation in Mg alloys.
