  • PreviousProf. Weihs started his Fulbright fellowship, a 12-month sabbatical at the University of Canterbury in Christchurch, New Zealand. Congratulations, Prof. Weihs – we’ll miss you in Maryland!

  • NextShane Arlington was recognized by JHU for winning the J.A. Woolam Company Scholarship from the Society of Vacuum Coaters Foundation (SVC). Shane also received a student travel grant from the SVC to attend their annual technical conference, where he will give a talk titled Nanocalorimetric Investigation of Nucleation in Thin Films.

Beatriz Medeiros was featured in JHU Engineering magazine for her work with Suhas Prameela in processing Mg alloys for lightweight body armor. Congratulations, Beatriz!

Suhas Prameela represented the MEDE project at Mg 2018 conference, UK and gave a talk on ECAE processing of Mg binary alloys. He also gave an invited talk at University of Manchester on Dynamic Precipitation in Mg alloys.
