PreviousShane Arlington was recognized by JHU for winning the J.A. Woolam Company Scholarship from the Society of Vacuum Coaters Foundation (SVC). Shane also received a student travel grant from the SVC to attend their annual technical conference, where he will give a talk titled Nanocalorimetric Investigation of Nucleation in Thin Films.
NextShane Arlington was awarded a fellowship from the Charles Stark Draper Laboratory in Cambridge, Massachusetts. He will be working with former Weihs lab member, Dr. Greg Fritz at Draper. Congratulations, Shane!

Suhas Prameela represented the MEDE project at Mg 2018 conference, UK and gave a talk on ECAE processing of Mg binary alloys. He also gave an invited talk at University of Manchester on Dynamic Precipitation in Mg alloys.
