Amee Polk joined the Weihs group in 2020 as a Doctor of Engineering student. She has a BCHE in Chemical Engineering from the University of Delaware and an MS in Biotechnology from Johns Hopkins. She is pursuing her degree while working at the Chemical Biological Center’s Pyrotechnics and Explosives Branch as a Research Engineer. Her research focus is in condensed phase thermites and reactive metal composites.
