Shane et al published “Environmentally Friendly Chemical Time Delays Based on Interrupted Reaction of Reactive Nanolaminates” in ACS Sustainable Chemistry & Engineering. The article describes and characterizes a new method to create chemical time delays – devices that burn over a specific time period to ignite other pyrotechnic devices – which does not involve any of the environmentally hazardous materials typically employed for that purpose. Congratulations, Shane!
PreviousSuhas published a communication discussing efforts to teach science using microscopy, titled “Looking at education through the microscope” in Nature Reviews Materials in their In the Classroom series. Congratulations, Suhas!
NextShane’s research published in ACS Sustainable Chemistry & Engineering was highlighted on a supplementary cover to the journal (Volume 8, Number 46). Congratulations, Shane!
